Krunic, Danilina through to Wuhan doubles semi-finals

WUHAN - The Serbian-Kazakh duo of Aleksandra Krunic and Anna Danilina is through to the semi-finals of the doubles event at the Wuhan WTA tournament after a 6-4, 7-6 (7-1) quarter-final victory over the Canadian-Chinese pairing of Bianca Andreescu and Yue Yuan on Friday.

Krunic and Danilina won after an hour and 27 minutes of play.

They will next face Laura Siegemund of Germany and Fanny Stollar of Hungary.

In the other semi-final, the Slovak-British pair of Tereza Mihalikova and Olivia Nicholls will take on the Australian-Czech duo of Storm Hunter and Katerina Siniakova.

The prize money at the Wuhan tournament is 3,654,963 dollars.
