Serbia beat Andorra to keep FIFA World Cup qualification hopes alive

ANDORRA - The Serbia men's national football team defeated Andorra 3-1 away in a FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying match on Tuesday evening.
With caretaker head coach Zoran Mirkovic at the helm, Serbia have thus kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs, being just a point behind Albania with two qualifying games to go.
Andorra took the lead through a Guillaume Sylvain Lopez goal in the 17th minute, but Serbia equalised two minutes later through a Christian Garcia own goal.
Dusan Vlahovic headed home in the 54th minute and Aleksandar Mitrovic converted a penalty in the 77th minute to make it 3-1.
In the other Group K match, England defeated Latvia 5-0 away, securing a World Cup berth.
England are on top of the group table with 18 points and are followed by Albania (11 pts), Serbia (10 pts), Latvia (5 pts) and Andorra (1 pt).
In their remaining qualifying games, Serbia face England away on November 13 and Latvia at home on November 16.
