BELGRADE - Serbian football club Partizan Belgrade announced on Thursday it had named Nenad Stojakovic head coach of its first team.
Stojakovic has joined Partizan from FK Teleoptik, succeeding Srdjan Blagojevic, who was dismissed on November 2.
"At the proposal of FK Partizan Vice President for Sports Affairs Predrag Mijatovic, a decision to name a new head coach was adopted at today Board of Directors meeting," Partizan said in a statement, noting that Stojakovic, a former player of the club, had in the past coached the majority of Partizan's young players with much success.
Partizan are currently on top of the Serbian Superliga table with 37 points from 15 games, ahead of second-placed Red Star Belgrade, who have 35 points from 14 games.
