Djokovic beats Maestrelli to advance to Australian Open third round

MELBOURNE - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Italian Francesco Maestrelli 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 on Thursday to advance to the Australian Open third round.

Djokovic won after two hours and 15 minutes of play, clinching his 101st career Australian Open victory.

The Serbian, who has won 24 Grand Slam titles to date, will next face Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp.
