Krunic/Danilina advance to Australian Open doubles final

MELBOURNE - The Serbian-Kazakh duo of Aleksandra Krunic and Anna Danilina is through to the Australian Open women's doubles final after a 7-6 (7-2), 3-6, 6-4 victory over the Canadian-Brazilian pair of Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Krunic and Danilina, who won after two hours and 22 minutes of play, will face the Belgian-Chinese pairing of Elise Mertens and Shuai Zhang in Saturday's final.

Mertens and Zhang defeated Vera Zvonareva of Russia and Ena Shibahara of Japan 6-3, 6-2 in the other semi-final.
