Kecmanovic beats Shimabukuro in Dallas opening round

DALLAS - Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic has got off to a successful start to the Dallas ATP tournament by beating Japanese Sho Shimabukuro in the opening round.

Kecmanovic will next face the winner of the all-American tie between Jenson Brooksby and Tommy Paul.

The prize money at the ATP 500 tournament is 2,833,335 dollars.
