Kecmanovic beats Zverev to advance to Acapulco quarter-finals

ACAPULCO - Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic is through to the quarter-finals of the Acapulco ATP tournament after a 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-4) second-round victory over world number four Alexander Zverev of Germany.

Kecmanovic, who is placed 84th in the ATP rankings, won after two hours and 36 minutes of play and is now 2-2 head-to-head against Zverev.

In the quarter-finals, the Serbian will face Frenchman Terence Atmane on Friday.

The prize money at the Acapulco tournament is 2,469,450 dollars.
