Red Star Belgrade knocked out of UEFA Europa League after extra time defeat to Lille

BELGRADE - Serbian football champions Red Star Belgrade are out of the UEFA Europa League after a 2-0 extra time defeat to French side Lille in the second leg of the round of 16 play-offs at home on Thursday evening.
Lille won 2-1 on aggregate after Red Star won the first leg 1-0.
In front of 46,477 supporters at Belgrade's Rajko Mitic Stadium - including about forty Lille fans - the visitors took the lead in the fourth minute through a close-range header by Olivier Giroud.
After the match went into extra time, substitute Nathan Ngoy scored in the 99th minute to send Lille into the next round of the competition.
