Lajovic defeated in Wimbledon first round

LONDON - Serbian tennis player Dusan Lajovic has failed to qualify for the Wimbledon second round after a 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 defeat to world number seven Taylor Fritz of the US in the opening round on Tuesday.

Fritz, who won after an hour and 41 minutes of play, is now 3-1 head-to-head against Lajovic, who is in the 153rd position in the ATP rankings.

The Serbian entered the main draw at Wimbledon as a lucky loser.
