Djokovic defeats Safiullin to advance to Wimbledon quarter-finals

LONDON - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the Wimbledon quarter-finals after a 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory over world number 132 Roman Safiullin of Russia on Sunday.

Word number eight Djokovic has thus become the player with the most men's singles wins at Wimbledon - 106, one more than Roger Federer.

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic, who won after three hours and 27 minutes of play, will on Tuesday face Canadian Felix-Auger Aliassime, who defeated Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the round of 16.
