Djere through to Rome Masters third round

ROME - Serbian tennis player Laslo Djere is through to the third round of the Rome Masters tournament after defeating world number 30 Botic van de Zandschulp of the Netherlands 2-0 (6-2, 6-4) on Friday.

The victory was much easier than expected for Djere, who is 62nd in the ATP rankings.

The Serbian won after an hour and 26 minutes of play.

He will next face the winner of the tie between Cristian Garin and Tommy Paul.
