BELGRADE - The Serbia men's national football team will be without injured Aleksandar Mitrovic, Luka Jovic, Dusan Vlahovic and Mijat Gacinovic in the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifier against Bulgaria, head coach Dragan Pixie Stojkovic said on Monday.
He was speaking to reporters ahead of a June 16 friendly against Jordan in Vienna and the June 20 match against Bulgaria in Razgrad.
"We have personnel problems, I do have to say and explain that because an important game against Bulgaria is ahead of us. It is the top priority," Stojkovic said, noting that Mitrovic had been suffering from a foot problem for six months now.
Serbia are on top of the Group G table with six points.
In a statement to the Football Association of Serbia website, Serbia captain Dusan Tadic said he expected a win against Bulgaria.
"An important match against Bulgaria is ahead of us, we have time to prepare to achieve the win we all want," Tadic said.
