Djokovic to face Cachin in Wimbledon opener

LONDON - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic was on Friday drawn to play Argentine Pedro Cachin in the first round at Wimbledon.

Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev and Janick Sinner are in Djokovic's half of the draw, with Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Holger Rune in the other half.

Serbia's Filip Krajinovic will face Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime in the first round and Miomir Kecmanovic will play Argentine Diego Schwarzman.

Hamad Medjedovic will face Australian Christopher O'Connell, Dusan Lajovic was drawn to play wild card holder Jan Choinski of Germany and Laslo Djere will face Frenchman Maxim Cressy.

In the women's singles event, Serbia's Natalija Stevanovic will play Czech Petra Kvitova in the first round.
