Medjedovic loses in Wimbledon first round after two days of delays

LONDON - Serbia's Hamad Medjedovic is out of Wimbledon after losing to Australian Christopher O'Connell 7-5, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the first round on Thursday.

O'Connell won after slightly over three hours of play.

The match began on Tuesday but was interrupted by rain after the first set and resumed on Wednesday evening, only to be interrupted again by darkness as the Australian was leading 2-0 in sets.
