CAS rejects Kolubara appeal, upholds FSS decisions

BELGRADE - The Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected an appeal filed by Serbian football club Kolubara against a Football Association of Serbia (FSS) decision to strip it of its licence and relegate it to the Serbian third division, it has been confirmed to Tanjug.

The CAS upheld all FSS decisions under which the Lazarevac outfit has been punished for match-fixing, abuse of the public, deception, blackmail and other offences.

That means the new Serbian Superliga season will definitely go ahead this weekend, with 16 clubs and according to a schedule set last week.
