Serbian high jumper Topic wins U20 European gold

JERUSALEM - Serbian high jumper Angelina Topic won the gold medal at the U20 European Athletics Championship in Jerusalem on Wednesday evening.

With a 1.90 m jump, Topic claimed her second career U20 European title.

Serbia's Jovan Stranic finished in fourth place in the discus throw final with a 73.42 m shot and Milos Nisic took the seventh place in the final of the 200 m race with a new personal best of 21.30.

On Thursday morning, Topic finished in sixth place in the final of her other event, long jump, with a 6.42 m leap.
