TSC lose to West Ham at home in UEFA Europa League

BACKA TOPOLA - Serbia's TSC lost 1-0 at home to English Premier League side West Ham United in a UEFA Europa League Group A Matchday 5 game on Thursday evening.

TSC missed several chances in the first half in Backa Topola and Tomas Soucek scored the winner for the visitors in the 89th minute.

In the last match of the group stage, TSC will have to beat Olympiacos Piraeus to finish in third place and earn a berth in the UEFA Conference League knock-out stage.

In the other Group A match, Freiburg beat Olympiacos 5-0 at home.

Freiburg are on top of the group table with 12 points and are followed by West Ham also with 12 points, Olympiacos with four and TSC with one point.

Freiburg and West Ham have already qualified for the Europa League knock-out stage.

TSC play Olympiacos away on December 14, with West Ham to host Freiburg.
