Djokovic beats Fritz to reach Australian Open semis

MELBOURNE - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis singles, is through to the Australian Open semi-finals after a 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over American Taylor Fritz in Melbourne on Tuesday.

Djokovic, who won after three hours and 45 minutes of play, is now 9-0 head-to-head against Fritz.

The Serbian will next face the winner of the tie between Russian Andrey Rublev and Italian Jannik Sinner.
