Djokovic begins 421st week at top of ATP rankings

BELGRADE - Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic began his 421st week at the top of the ATP rankings on Monday.

According to the ATP website, Djokovic currently has 10,035 points - 310 more than last week, despite a 4-6,6-1, 4-6 defeat to Norwegian Casper Ruud in the Monte Carlo Masters semi-finals at the weekend.

Italian Jannik Sinner ranks second with 8,750 points and is followed by Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (8,645), Russian Daniil Medvedev (7,085), German Alexander Zverev (5,425), Ruud (4,025) and new Monte Carlo Masters champion Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece (4,000).

Russian Andrey Rublev (3,935), Pole Hubert Hurkacz (3,675) and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (3,595) round out the top ten.
