ROME - Serbian tennis players Dusan Lajovic, Miomir Kecmanovic and Hamad Medjedovic are all through to the second round of the Rome Masters tournament.
In the opening round, Lajovic defeated Italian Lorenzo Sonego 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3 after two hours and 31 minutes of play last night.
Lajovic will next face Argentine Sebastian Baez.
Previously, Kecmanovic beat American Brandon Nakashima 6-4, 6-4 after an hour and 38 minutes of play.
Kecmanovic will next play fifth-seeded Casper Ruud of Norway.
Medjedovic, who had to qualify for the main draw, defeated Australian Alexey Popyrin 6-3, 6-2 in the first round after an hour and 16 minutes of play.
He will next play Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
Top seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia will face Frenchman Corentin Moutet in the second round on Friday evening.
The prize money at the Rome Masters is 7,877,020 euros.
