Lajovic, Kecmanovic through to Roland Garros second round

PARIS - Serbian tennis players Dusan Lajovic and Miomir Kecmanovic are both through to the second round of the Roland Garros men's singles tournament.

Lajovic defeated Russian Roman Safiullin 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-4 on Monday evening after more than four hours of play.

He will next face the winner of the tie between American Taylor Fritz and Argentine Federico Coria.

Previously, Kecmanovic (pictured) beat Brazilian Thiago Monteiro 6-2, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 and will play Russian Daniil Medvedev or German Dominik Koepfer in the second round.

The prize money at Roland Garros is 53.4 mln euros.
