Danilovic suffers early Wimbledon exit

LONDON - Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovic has failed to qualify for the second round at Wimbledon after losing 7-5, 6-1 to Romanian Anca Todoni in the opening round of the women's singles event on Monday.

World 142 Todoni won after an hour and 21 minutes of play.

Danilovic is 116th in the WTA rankings.

Previously, Serbian Dusan Lajovic lost 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the first round of men's singles.

World number ten Dimitrov won after an hour and 45 minutes of play.

Dimitrov is now 3-1 head-to-head against Lajovic, who is 56th in the ATP rankings.
