Vucic backs initiative to set up forum of authorities for protection of competition

At Wednesday's meeting with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Suma Chakrabarti, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic backed an initiative to set up a forum of authorities for protection of competition in Western Balkan states.

BELGRADE - At Wednesday's meeting with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Suma Chakrabarti, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic backed an initiative to set up a forum of authorities for protection of competition in Western Balkan states.

The goal of the EBRD initiative is to intensify cooperation among the national authorities, in particular in conceiving and coordinating positions at presidential level in the context of sharing knowledge and know-how.

The forum would be headquartered in Belgrade and the main stakeholder of the activities would be the Serbian Commission for Protection of Competition.

According to a statement released by the Commission, the forum would also include its Slovenian, Croatian, Bosnian and Herzegovinian, Albanian and North Macedonian equivalents.
