BELGRADE – A total 2,811 construction permits were issued in Serbia in November 2024, which was a 16.3 pct decline relative to the same month of 2023.
According to figures released by the national statistical office RZS, 85.3 pct of the total permits were issued for buildings, while other structures made up the remaining 14.7 pct.
When it comes to permits for buildings alone, 85.8 pct were issued for residential buildings and 14.2 pct for non-residential buildings, the RZS said.
The highest construction activity is expected in the Belgrade district - 28.4 pct of the planned value of new structures - and the West Backa, Nisava, South Backa and North Backa districts follow with 9.7 pct, 9.5 pct, 6.6 pct and 6.1 pct, respectively.
