MAT: Serbian average net monthly wage exceeds consumer basket price for first time

BELGRADE - For the first time in history, the Serbian average net monthly wage exceeded the consumer basket price in December, according to the latest issue of the MAT economic bulletin.

The December average net monthly wage amounted to 108,312 dinars, while the average consumer basket price was 105,765 dinars, the publication said.

According to available indicators, Serbia's real gross GDP rose by an estimated 3 pct y-o-y in the period from January to February, the MAT also said.
