Serbian construction permits up by 1.1 pct y-o-y in February

BELGRADE – A total 1,817 construction permits were issued in Serbia in February 2025, which was a 1.1 pct increase relative to the same month of 2024.

According to figures released by the national statistical office RZS, 82.8 pct of the total permits were issued for buildings, while other structures made up the remaining 17.2 pct.

When it comes to permits for buildings alone, 81.2 pct were issued for residential buildings and 18.8 pct for non-residential buildings, the RZS said.

The highest construction activity is expected in the Belgrade District - 55.6 pct of the planned value of new structures - followed by the South Backa District (6.5 pct), the Srem District (5.6 pct) and the North Backa District (5.3 pct).
