142,053 foreigners - mostly Chinese - visit Serbia in March

BELGRADE - A total of 142,053 foreigners visited Serbia in March and the majority of them were Chinese, who accounted for almost one tenth of the figure - 13,010.

The number of Chinese tourists who visited Serbia in March rose by as much as 94.4 pct y-o-y, according to figures released by the national statistical office.

They were followed by Russians (12,726), Bulgarians (12,383) North Macedonians (11,454) and Turks (11,130).

Foreign tourists generated a total of 409,115 overnight stays - Russians topped the list with 43,342 overnight stays and Turks and the Chinese followed with 40,389 and 35,403, respectively.

Interestingly, 913 tourists from India generated 10,096 overnight stays.
