BELGRADE - Serbia had an employed population of 2,370,103 people in Q2 2025, according to figures released by the national statistical office on Wednesday.
In a statement, it said the majority of the total employed population - 1,898,531 people - worked for legal persons and that 425,321 were entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people, while 46,251 people were registered as individual agricultural producers.
Year-on-year, the employed population was up by 2,933 (0.1 pct), the number of employees of legal persons was down by 485 and the number of entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people was up by 7,070 (1.7 pct), while the number of registered individual agricultural producers declined by 3,652 (7.3 pct).
Relative to the previous quarter, the total employed population was up by 5,209 (0.2 pct), and the number of employees of legal persons rose by 1,065 (0.1 pct).
The number of entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people was up by 5,026 pct (1.2 pct), while the number of registered individual agricultural producers was down by 882 (1.9 pct).
