Sofronijevic, Konrad discuss infrastructure projects in Serbia backed by KfW

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic met with German Ambassador to Belgrade Anke Konrad on Friday to discuss current infrastructure projects in Serbia that were supported by the German development bank KfW.

"During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the projects in the field of utility infrastructure, as well as on plans for realisation of new initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens and boosting the economic development," a government statement said.

"Sofronijevic underlined that the cooperation is focused on key areas, such as sustainable development and modernisation of utility infrastructure.

Konrad said that numerous projects across Serbia have been implemented through cooperation with the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, and that this Ministry is one of the key partners in implementing development initiatives," it also said.
