BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has received a letter from the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas confirming Palestine's participation in Specialised EXPO 2027 in Belgrade.
The letter said the State of Palestine was honoured to take part in the EXPO given its great economic and humanitarian significance, as confirmed by its slogan of Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.
The fact the Republic of Serbia is hosting EXPO 2027 is a testimony to the country's international relevance and the respect and trust it commands, the letter said.
"This will be an exceptional opportunity for the State of Palestine to join, and participate in, this gathering of the majority of the world's countries, as well as to contribute to materialising a vision of an exposition aspiring to growth, cooperation, shared humaneness, progress and unity," a statement released by the press office of the president of Serbia quoted it as also saying.
EXPO 2027 Belgrade will be held from May 15 through August 15, 2027.
