BELGRADE - On Monday, July 20, Air Serbia carried 22,098 passengers, achieving the best single-day result in its history and surpassing its previous record of more than 21,600 passengers, set on August 1, 2025, the Serbian national airline has announced.
"We are currently at the peak of the summer season, with August, which is traditionally the busiest month for air travel, still ahead of us. That is why it is particularly significant that we have already surpassed last year’s record in July. This confirms the strong demand for Air Serbia’s flights and shows that an increasing number of passengers are choosing our airline to travel to destinations across the region, Europe and beyond,” said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
"The new record was achieved during the period of intense summer traffic, when Air Serbia has been experiencing exceptionally strong demand across its regional, European and long-haul networks.
On July 20, Air Serbia’s most popular regional destinations were Tivat and Podgorica. When it comes to Western Europe, Zurich and Barcelona recorded the highest demand.
In the Euro-Mediterranean region, the most sought-after destinations were Larnaca, Antalya, Athens and Istanbul, and on the airline’s long-haul network, the most popular service was Belgrade–New York," the airline said in a statement.
