Mali: Serbia has joined EU Single Market Programme

BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali on Thursday signed with the European Commission's Director-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs Kerstin Jorna an agreement on Serbia's accession to the EU Single Market Programme.

With the signing of the document, which was done online, Serbia has joined another EU programme, Mali said.

By participating in the programme, Serbian SMEs will get an opportunity to boost their competitiveness and internationalise their operations through various support mechanisms and, especially, through continued work of the European Entrepreneurship Network in Serbia, Mali said.

They will also get an opportunity to better prepare to respond to the challenges of a single market, he said.

Mali said the programme also envisioned development of clusters, tourism infrastructure and youth entrepreneurship.
