Mali, Power China sign agreement to design, build Belgrade metro depot

BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and the Chinese construction company Power China signed on Friday an agreement to design and build a Belgrade metro depot in the capital's suburb of Makis.

"Today, we signed an agreement with Power China that is another step to carrying out the great project of building a Belgrade metro. It is an agreement to design and build a depot, a place the entire metro system will be operated from. Maintenance of all metro train sets will be done there. The agreement is worth around 200 mln euros and we expect the construction of the depot to be finished within 60 months," Mali told Tanjug after the signing of the document.

He said works to build the metro, launched in November 2021, were underway without problems.
