BELGRADE - Serbia had an employed population of 2,360,762 people in Q3 2023 - up by 51,807 or 2.2 pct y-o-y, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
In a statement, it said 1,892,341 of the total employed people worked for legal persons and that 415,392 were entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people, while 53,029 people were registered as individual agricultural producers.
Year-on-year, the number of employees of legal persons rose by 36,306, or 2.0 pct.
The number of entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people was up by 18,145, or 4.6 pct, while the number of registered individual agricultural producers declined by 2,644, or 4.7 pct.
Relative to the previous quarter, the total employed population was down by 3,378, or 0.1 pct, and the number of employees of legal persons fell by 4,776, or 0.3 pct.
The number of entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people was up by 2,626 pct, or 0.6 pct, while the number of registered individual agricultural producers was down by 1,228, or 2.3 pct.
