BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday evening overall revenues of Serbia's IT sector were expected to exceed 3.6 bln euros this year, surpassing agriculture's share in the GDP.
That was not possible 10 or 15 years ago, Vucic noted in an appearance on Prva TV.
He said Serbia had registered 4.195 bln euros of foreign investments since the beginning of the year and added that he expected the amount to reach a record-high 4.42-4.45 bln by the end of the year.
"We expect a 2.7 pct growth rate, but we will also emulate the level of investments," he said.
Vucic said investments from Asia - especially from China and Japan - were growing steadily and particularly thanked the Japanese ambassador for that.
Also, there are more and more investors from South Korea, he said.
"What remains for us to do is give the UAE and India a boost and work with other investors from Asia. We will keep attracting those Eastern states increasingly in the future as well," he said.
