BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic received a Power China delegation on Wednesday to discuss development plans focusing on cooperation in the renewables sector and the Vetrozelena ("Windgreen") project.
"Commitment to sustainable energy is important for our future and the partnership with Power China represents a step towards accomplishing those objectives," Djedovic Handanovic wrote in an Instagram post.
Power China has a 51 pct stake in the Vetrozelena wind power plant near Pancevo, northern Serbia.
It is due to be completed and put into operation in 2025.
The power plant will have 48 leading-edge wind generators and a planned capacity of 300 MW.
