Vucic awards Order of Serbian Flag, 1st Class to Nebenzya

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic awarded the Order of the Serbian Flag, 1st Class to Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya in New York on Monday evening for the assistance provided to Serbia in a UN General Assembly debate on a Srebrenica resolution.

Vucic is in New York for the 79th UN General Assembly session.

He also awarded the Order of the Serbian Flag, 2nd Class to Russian Deputy Permanent Representatives Anna Evstigneeva and Maria Zabolotskaya.

"I would like to thank you again for the friendly relations we are developing, for the assistance you have provided to us here in New York in the debate on the Srebrenica genocide resolution. I hope we can strengthen further the cooperation between our nations and our countries and take it to a level we will all be satisfied with. Thank you once again, it was very difficult work, I appreciate it very much, and you can always expect the same from us," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
