Vucic attends reception hosted by UAE FM in New York

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended on Wednesday in New York a reception hosted by UAE Deputy PM and FM Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, noting the importance Serbia attached to the partnership with the UAE.

"A cordial meeting with a friend of Serbia, Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at a reception traditionally hosted by the UAE during the UN General Assembly. I reiterated the importance Serbia attaches to the UAE, reflected in a common vision of the future and in the values we share," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.

He noted that the reception had been an excellent opportunity to boost diplomatic ties and present Serbian interests in the international arena through meetings with numerous leaders, diplomats and decision-makers, as well as to exchange views on key topics of global significance.

"Thanking the host for the exceptional reception, I asked him to convey my cordial greetings to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, a friend of our country who has contributed, through his personal engagement, to strong development of Serbia and a sincere closeness between our nations," Vucic wrote in the post.
