BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with outgoing OSCE Mission head Jan Braathu on Friday and thanked him for the exceptional cooperation during his term, congratulating him on being elected new OSCE representative on freedom of the media.
Brnabic noted that Serbia remained committed to close cooperation with the OSCE, especially in the field of promoting peace and stability, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia said in a statement.
Braathu said significant results had been reached through joint work, and expressed gratitude for Serbia's support and openness during his tenure.
He added that the OSCE Mission to Serbia remained in good hands and that the cooperation with Serbia would be continued to mutual benefit.
Brnabic said she was confident that, in his new post, Braathu would continue to contribute to important OSCE objectives and to advancement of freedom of the media in the organisation's member states.
