BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic signed a book of condolences at the Turkish embassy in Belgrade on Thursday following a devastating earthquake that has caused great loss of life in Turkey, noting that Serbian citizens symphatised with Turkish friends in these times of pain and sadness.
"The devastating earthquake has left an enormous void in the lives of many families and filled them with sadness. The Republic of Serbia and its citizens sincerely sympathise with Turkish friends in these times of pain and sadness. I take this opportunity to extend my deepest condolences to the Republic of Turkey and all those who have lost their loved ones," Vucic wrote, according to a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
