French MFA regrets unilateral closure of Serbian institutions in Kosovo-Metohija

PARIS - France regrets the January 15 unilateral closure of numerous Serbian administrative institutions in Kosovo-Metohija, the French MFA said on Friday, noting that Pristina's decision to close the institutions would have a "negative impact" on the daily lives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs.

In a statement, the French ministry said the decision undermined ongoing efforts to normalise relations between Belgrade and Pristina through an EU-facilitated dialogue.

"This unilateral action threatens the prospects of lifting restrictive measures imposed on Kosovo," it said.

"France calls for all parties to honour their commitments in order to move forward with the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement," it also said.
