Vucic: We are in talks with France about Raphale purchase

ABU DHABI - Serbia is in talks with France about purchasing Raphale multirole fighters, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at the IDEX 2023 arms fair in Abu Dhabi on Monday, noting that, if agreed, the purchase would be the country's biggest military budget expenditure yet.

"We are in talks with Dassault Aviation - we also spoke when I was in Paris, " Vucic said, adding that the investment would "definitely exceed 3 bln euros, inflation included," Vucic told reporters.

He also said the Serbian defence industry was working on modular rocket artillery and that 200 Serbian-made heavy military vehicles and weapons would be purchased for the army by September 2024.
