BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric said on Thursday Serbia was "closely monitoring the unfolding situation" as devastating wildfires continued near Jerusalem.
"We express our heartfelt concern and solidarity with the people of Israel and offer our thoughts and prayers for the safety of all civilians, firefighters, and security personnel involved.
In this challenging time, we reaffirm our readiness to extend support — whether humanitarian, technical or otherwise — to assist our friends in Israel as they confront this crisis," Djuric posted on X.
Earlier, Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that, on orders from President Aleksandar Vucic, the Interior Ministry had offered Israel assistance in putting out the unprecedented large-scale wildfires.
