Brnabic: Pressure groups' narrative about Vucic's meetings always same

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Monday "media pressure groups" always had the same narrative about President Aleksandar Vucic's meetings with world leaders at home or abroad.

"Just to remind you of the modus operandi of media pressure groups. It all fit into a minute. So, the narrative is always the same: every meeting of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has been 'paid for' or is a part of an 'election campaign' (in any country - it is completely irrelevant which one it is), Serbia is always 'at a loss' and, to top it all, when it is in the East, why is it not in the West, and when it is in the West, why it is not in the East. However, the most shameful thing about it all are spins like the following: Putin does not want to respond to his call, and then Vucic goes to Trump, but what follows then is that Trump does not want to see him, and then he goes to Putin - and this is always reported by the same media," Brnabic wrote in a post on X, referring to reporting by N1, Nova, Danas and other media outlets.

Those media have never reported about Vucic's meetings with world leaders as about something positive, but as about something that is "terrible" for Serbia, she added.
