BELGRADE - With fewer than ten days to go before a vote on the so called Kosovo's Council of Europe (CoE) membership bid, Serbia has succeeded in winning over countries that supported the idea of admitting Pristina to the organisation, says Serbian FM Marko Djuric.
"That will not happen because Serbia has succeeded in winning over some of the key actors in Europe that used to support the idea of Pristina becoming a member of the Council of Europe," Djuric told Happy TV.
He said Pristina had failed to meet the conditions from a report by Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) rapporteur Dora Bakoyanni.
"It has not fully implemented a return of land to the Visoki Decani monastery. It has not returned seized land to the Serbs, and the land that has been taken away is larger than the territory of the Vatican - enormous swathes of land have been taken away from our people in the north (of Kosovo-Metohija). The third condition was the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities, which has not only not been established, but they (Pristina) openly boast of having no intention of ever establishing it," Djuric said.
