BELGRADE - Serbian Justice Minister Nenad Vujic met with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Thursday to discuss possibilities for further cooperation, especially in the judicial reform and digitalisation of the judiciary.
In a statement, the MoJ said the parties had discussed EBRD projects underway in Serbia as well as new support models aimed at more efficient work of judicial institutions, as well as at increasing the citizens' trust in the legal system.
Vujic informed the EBRD representatives of planned changes to the normative framework in line with a revised action plan for Chapter 23 in Serbia's EU accession talks and a 2020-2025 strategy for development of the judiciary, as well as with a reform agenda aligned with the EU's Growth Plan.
The EBRD representatives expressed readiness to continue to provide technical and financial assistance through projects aimed at enhancing the legal framework, transparency and judicial accountability.
