Djuric thanks Brazil for principled support on Kosovo-Metohija issue

ST JOHN'S - Serbian FM Marko Djuric met with the secretary-general of the Brazilian MFA, Ambassador Maria Laura da Rocha, and thanked her for Brazil's principled support for Serbia on the Kosovo-Metohija issue.

The two officials met on the sidelines of the Organisation of American States (OAS) General Assembly session in St John's, Antigua and Barbuda.

Djuric informed da Rocha of the current situation and the position of Serbs in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

He also said Serbia was committed to bolstering overall ties with Brazil, one of its most significant political and economic partners in Latin America.

Djuric and da Rocha also discussed strengthening of economic ties and possibilities for more intensive investment cooperation.

Djuric reiterated an invitation to Brazil to take part in the specialised EXPO 2027 in Belgrade and expressed the hope the country would soon confirm its participation in the prestigious event.
