Brnabic holds series of meetings in Israel's Knesset

JERUSALEM - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic, who is visiting Israel, held a series of meetings in the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, on Tuesday.

After a press conference with Knesset Speaker Amir Ohan, Brnabic met with members of an Israel-Serbia friendship group in the legislature.

A delegation accompanying Brnabic on the visit also includes Milovan Drecun, chairman of a Serbia-Israel friendship group in the Serbian parliament.

The topics of the discussion with Ohan included the case of Alon Ohel, a Serbian-Israeli citizen abducted by Hamas in October 2023.

Brnabic also spoke with Ohel's father.

Ohel is believed to be alive but in severe condition.

Brnabic also met with members of the Israeli parliamentary committee on science and technology.

Later in the day, Brnabic is also scheduled to meet with Israeli FM Gideon Sa'ar and President Isaac Herzog.

Brnabic will conclude the visit to Israel on July 9.
