Loncar: Glisic remains in serious condition after surgery

BELGRADE - Serbian Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar said Minister for Public Investments Darko Glisic, who suffered a stroke during a live appearance on Pink TV on Tuesday morning, remained in serious condition following a surgery and was on a ventilator in an intensive care unit.

Speaking to reporters at the Emergency Centre, Loncar said the surgery had been complex and complicated, taking longer than usual due to damage on two blood vessels.

"A large blood vessel was completely clogged, and the other was not only clogged but also bleeding. Doctors succeeded in solving the problem of both blood vessels, and blood is flowing through them," he said.

Due to the complexity of his condition, Glisic will remain intubated and on a ventilator until the morning, Loncar also said.
