Brnabic, Belgian ambassador discuss bilateral parliamentary cooperation

BELGRADE  Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with Belgian Ambassador to Belgrade Frederik Develter on Monday to discuss deepening of bilateral parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, as well as Serbia's EU integration and opening Cluster 3 in its EU accession talks.

Brnabic noted that she expected the Serbia-Belgium parliamentary cooperation to deepen and that she was extremely pleased to have had an opportunity to visit Belgium at the end of last year and meet with House of Representatives President Peter De Roover, an official statement said.

She said De Roover had an open invitation to pay a visit to Serbia, which she added would be an exceptional honour for Serbia.

She also said the Serbian parliament had a Serbia-Benelux friendship group whose work could be a step in the right direction when it comes to advancing the bilateral parliamentary cooperation.

They also discussed Serbia's EU integration and Cluster 3 in the EU talks, as well as other ongoing reforms Serbia is carrying out on the European path.
